ABOUT US
A Luxury Safari Operator and Destination Management Company Providing Authentic Uganda Safaris Rooted in Conservation and Local Expertise
Our Story
Journey Makers Africa was founded with a deep love for Uganda’s wildlife, landscapes, and cultures. Our story begins in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where our co-founder Milton Saturday grew up watching mountain gorillas roam the dense forests near his home. Those childhood encounters with nature sparked a lifelong mission—to protect Uganda’s incredible biodiversity while sharing it with the world.
After spending over 12 years leading safaris across Uganda and Rwanda, Milton, a trained naturalist and conservationist, teamed up with a tourism management expert to create a travel company that goes beyond ordinary safaris. Journey Makers Africa was born—not just as a tour operator, but as a force for conservation and responsible tourism.
Today, our mission is simple: to craft extraordinary, tailor-made eco safaris that connect travelers with Uganda’s untamed beauty while actively protecting it for future generations.
